Your Treasures Storytelling Challenge

From Curious Listener to Confident Family Storyteller in 10 Days
Have you always wanted to capture your stories for your family and yourself?
Not sure where to start or how to tell a good story?
This 10-day challenge will help you to remember, tell,
and preserve stories about your most prized possessions.

Note: Although the video references a private Facebook group, we'll be meeting in our Life Story School online classroom .

This Free 10-day challenge will help you go from listening to other family members share their stories to sharing and saving stories about your most prized possessions.

Each day you will receive a storytelling tip to help you start or improve your storytelling skills. You will also receive a prompt that inspires you to share a story about an item you’ve kept for years.

You'll tell your family member, a friend, a fellow challenger, (or maybe even your dog!) a 3-minute story about one of your most prized possessions.

I'd also like you to record the story, but it's not necessary to share the recording online with the other challengers unless you want to.

Once you've told the story, you'll come back to my private group and answer the daily challenge questions so I know you completed the assignment.

Along the way, you'll have support and encouragement from me and the other challengers who want to connect with their families as much as you want to connect to yours!

So what do you say? Are you ready to share your stories of your treasured possessions and start connecting with your family on a different level?

I'd love for you to join us! The challenge begins soon so click on the button above to register or to join the waitlist.

A great big Thank You to Michelle for this awesome challenge. I loved every minute of it! Learned a lot. And will continue to follow and see what else she may come up with. I am pleased that I did not have be too concerned, with grammar and punctuation. All the stuff that made me hesitant to write. This has inspired me to keep writing, and has made my husband very happy to see he getting his wish—my stories in recordings and writings. I truly appreciate each and every story I have read. What I have taken away from the group, is that even though we may all be different....we are alike in many ways too, with our love and passion for our family and friends.

Thank you for a great 10-day challenge. I'm looking forward to future ones. 10 Stories in 10 days with loving support from all.

Michelle, thank you for this 10-day challenge. I’ve been pushed to think about my possessions and remember the stories associated with them. I have shared them with my high school friends and will also share with my parents when I next see them. I wasn’t sure what types of stories would be interesting enough to qualify. But I was surprised at how quickly my stories came to me. They almost wrote themselves!

Michelle Beckman this has been a gift. Doing this was a lot of fun. I’m going to have to buy a new computer with a lot of memory to store all of these stories.

Watch the Daily Video

Each day, you'll come to the course and go to the lecture for the day.
The lecture will contain a short video that includes your daily tip, challenge prompt, and an example of a story.

For this challenge, the prompt will be to tell a story about a type of treasured possession (i.e., an item you've kept for years or would have liked to have kept).

Share/Tell Your Story

You'll tell and record the story of the item to a family member, friend, another challenger, (or maybe even your dog). You'll also want to take a photo of the item, if you can.

Let Me Know You're Done!

When you've shared your story, you'll answer a few questions within the Challenge Community to let me know you completed the challenge.

(You do not need to share your story or write your story in the community unless you choose to do so. )

Get Your Reward

If you complete all daily challenges, then you will receive a reward from me a couple of days after the challenge.

I'm Michelle Beckman. I'm the CEO and founder of Sunday Dinner Stories, a personal history and memoir company located in the United States.

I left my 25-year Information Technology career to help grateful people who want to know their loved ones and themselves on a deeper level. Together, we save their Legacies of Love--their beliefs, values, life lessons, and stories--as books and audio playlists so all generations of their families know they belong, have been heard, and will be remembered.

I'm excited to help you empower all generations of your family and your community, one story at a time.

You can find me with my family and friends in church pews, hanging out by the swim team pool, visiting retirement communities, scanning photographs, and talking about all things legacy, life story, and memoir throughout New England and online.
